From Family Camp.
While Tommy Ackerman (Tommy Woodard) draws closer to a big promotion at work, he’s poured all his energy into making the next big deal, which unfortunately involves missing time with his family. When he shows up embarrassingly-late to church again, Tommy’s wife, Grace (Leigh-Allyn Baker), is fed up with being ignored and convinces Tommy that they should attend their church’s upcoming family camp. The Ackerman family arrives at Camp Katokwah ready to enjoy the luxuries of their private air-conditioned cabin, only to find that Tommy forgot the reservation, and the only available option is sharing a yurt with another family. While their kids, Hannah (Cece Kelly) and Henry (Jacob M. Wade), are less than thrilled with the idea, Grace refuses to give up, and things go well until they meet their yurt-mates: the Sanders family. The practically-perfect family is made up of the over-the-top energetic Eddie (Eddie James), his beautiful wife Victoria (Gigi Orsillo), and their obedient twins Ed (Elias Kemuel) and Barb (Keslee Blalock). The two families are drastically different, but total opposites Tommy and Eddie are soon wrapped up in the week-long challenges to win the Katokwah Cup. As the competition heats up between Tommy and Eddie, the Ackerman family is slowly pulled apart until their pastor (Mark Christopher Lawrence) encourages Tommy to sign up for the dads-only day hike. When he’s assigned to be Eddie’s busy for the walk, Tommy is upset; a feeling which only grows when an incident with bees leads to the two men getting lost in the forest. While the camp leaders (Robert Amaya and Heather Land) set up a search party, Grace and Victoria begin bonding over their shared worry. As Tommy and Eddie try to find their way back to camp, their bickering quickly lands them in some unbelievable situations that will test their faith, priorities, and tenuous-at-best friendship in ways that will change their lives and families forever.
