“Devon.”

From No Exit.

When Darby (Havana Rose Liu) gets the news that her mother is going in for emergency surgery back home, she decides to run away from the drug rehab that is currently her home, so she steals a car and races off with only the clothes on her back and no travel necessities.  The shortest route between her rehab and her sick mother is through the Rocky Mountains, but it isn’t short enough to beat the blizzard that overtakes her.  After the mountain pass becomes dangerously blocked by snow, Darby is barely able to make it to a small rest stop where she’ll have to wait for the storm to pass and the roads to be reopened.  When she goes inside the tiny rest stop, Darby meets four other trapped travelers: the gambling veteran Ed (Dennis Haysbert) and his wife Sandi (Dale Dickey), the personable college student Ash (Danny Ramirez), and the strange and quiet Lars (David Rysdahl).  On a trip outside to search for a signal with her quickly-dying phone, Darby glances in the window of the van next to her car and sees a child (Mila Harris) locked in a cage.  Darby quickly realizes that she and the others are stuck in the middle of nowhere with a kidnapper, but she has no idea which person inside is responsible.  As the storm rages on, Darby will have to figure out who the car belongs to, what she can do to protect the child locked in the cage, and who she can trust during what is sure to be a night from hell.

This mysterious thriller is very quick to jump into the action, with the few minutes developing tension through for the main character and then enhancing the dangerous mystery with the discovery of the kidnapped girl.  The film is very fast paced allowing for a story that never lags and is thrilling from start to finish.  Inspired by the Taylor Adams book of the same name, No Exit is an action-packed and captivating movie that is definitely worth the watch.
