From Halloween Kills.
After being haunted by the heartless serial killer Michael Myers and finally taking a stand after decades, Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) is left dangerously injured. Successfully completing their plan to trap Michael in a fiery death trap, Laurie’s daughter, Karen (Judy Greer), and granddaughter, Allyson (Andi Matichak), rush Laurie to the hospital. However, Michael is able to survive because of the fire department’s quick arrival, and he soon sets off on another Halloween night killing spree. As the body count continues to rise, survivors from Michael’s first killings–Tommy Doyle (Anthony Michael Hall), Lonnie Elam (Robert Longstreet), Lindsey Wallace (Kyle Richards), and Marion Chambers (Nancy Stephens)–begin to gather citizens to find and stop Michael once and for all. While Laurie rests in the hospital with police officer (Will Patton), they share their regrets about the many opportunities they missed to kill Michael years ago. When Allyson learns that Michael is still alive, she goes with her ex-boyfriend Cameron Elam (Dylan Arnold) and his dad to hunt down Michael and save what’s left of her family before Michael can slip away again. As the townspeople quickly turn to mob violence, the sheriff (Omar Dorsey) tries to keep order, but each of Michael’s new kills only increases the pandemonium. When Allyson realizes that Michael is heading back to his childhood home she charges in to confront him, but when Karen realizes where her daughter has gone, she will have to abandon everything she believes in order to save Allyson from the killer that haunts her family.
The twelfth movie in the Halloween franchise, this movie picks up exactly where it’s 2018 predecessor left off. Fans of the decades-long series will enjoy the frightful bloodbath that follows in the wake of the iconic masked killer; though as the middle film for the supposedly-final trilogy of the series, the movie will be appealing to viewers unfamiliar to the story. In Halloween Kills, Greer and Matichak easily adopt the bravery and attitude of Curtis’ character to create an engaging thriller that will leave fans desperate for the next film.
