As Zoey leads the others through the deadly rooms, they face a wide array of devices designed to torture and kill them, but she continues to gather as much proof against Minos as possible while fighting to beat the puzzle masters at their own evil game.
This thriller is packed with action and edge-of-your-seat suspense that doesn’t let go. The cast is small, but with Russell and Miller reprising their roles, the story connects well to the 2019 original and gives the characters a chance to meet the requirements of their roles. Not exceptionally gory, the real horror of Escape Room: Tournament of Champions comes from the unseen designers twisting each character’s experience into a deadly game with a purely evil goal.
