From Finding You.
Ever since her older brother died, Finley (Rose Reid) has been adrift in life, searching for peace with her brother’s death and the end to her audition piece to the Manhattan Music Conservatory. After not impressing the professors with her first audition, Finley’s mom suggests that Finley enrolls in a foreign exchange program in Ireland for a change of pace and maybe some inspiration before her second and final audition. Finley’s Irish journey to rewrite her audition piece is off to a rocky start when she finds herself seated on the plane next to the actor and tabloid-cover bad boy, Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre). Finley tries to put her rough interaction with Beckett behind her, but she soon learns that he is staying at the bed and breakfast that her host parents (Fiona Bell and Ciaran McMahon) run. Shortly after she arrives, Finley’s host mother gives her the travel journal that her brother left behind when he was enrolled in the same exchange program years ago, which ends with a sketch of an unmarked Celtic cross and her name. While Finley’s host sister, Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), helps her search for the cross some, Finley’s busy host family is unable to help her visit the places in her brother’s journal, so she reluctantly accepts Beckett’s offer for help sightseeing and soon finds herself slowly falling for the actor. While assigned to spend time with the elderly Mrs. Sweeney (Vanessa Redgrave) for school, Finley also tries to connect with the angry woman while avoiding Beckett’s manager father (Tom Everett Scott) and the young actresses (Katherine McNamara and Anabel Sweeney) that resent her closeness to Beckett. All Finley wants is to get ready for her audition, but she soon discovers the only way to move forward may be to let go of the past.
