“Miguel!”

From The Marksman.

As the owner of a failing, small ranch on the American-Mexican border, Jim (Liam Neeson) is used to illegal aliens trying to cut across his land into the United States, but when he almost hits the frantic Rosa (Teresa Ruiz) and Miguel (Jacob Perez) when they run in front of his truck after climbing through a hole in the border fence, everything changes.  Jim calls in Rosa and Miguel’s location to Border Patrol, but before any agents can arrive, several members of the cartel arrive to the other side of the fence demanding that Jim sends the woman and her son back to them.  When the cartel’s lead soldier, Maurico (Juan Pablo Raba), tries to kill Jim, Rosa, and Miguel, the former Marine-turned-rancher shoots back some before escaping with Miguel and a mortally-injured Rosa.  When they get to safe place to wait for Border Patrol, Rosa begs Jim to take Miguel to her family in Chicago where he’ll be safe from the cartel, even promising all her money for his help before she dies.  Jim has no interest in helping the boy, especially when his Border Patrol agent stepdaughter, Sarah (Katheryn Winnick), tells him that the boy will most likely end up in American foster care.  However, when Jim learns that Miguel is going to be deported and that Maurico is waiting for the boy, he decides to honor Rosa’s dying request and get Miguel to Chicago.  After grabbing his guns and dog, Jim uses his relationship with Sarah and his frequency at the Border Patrol station to sneak Miguel out and the two take off with the cartel in hot pursuit.  While Sarah tries to convince him to bring Miguel back, Jim struggles to connect with the boy, but as their dangerous journey continues, with the cartel getting closer, the two find that they have more in common than they first realized.
