Tom (Liam Neeson) has made millions as a bank robber because he is cautious, meticulous, and patient in his selection of small banks.  However, when Tom meets the fun and attractive Annie (Kate Walsh), he decides to leave his criminal livelihood for the chance at a life with her.  In an effort to lower his sentence, Tom calls the FBI to turn himself in and return the money, but his call is forwarded to agents Baker (Robert Patrick) and Meyers (Jeffrey Donovan), who believe that Tom is just another faker claiming to be the notoriously mysterious bank robber.  Baker passes the information Tom have him to younger agents Nivens (Jai Courtney) and Hall (Anthony Ramos), asking them to meet with Tom and check out his story.  When Nivens and Hall interview Tom, they don’t really take him seriously until Tom sends them to get a portion of the money that he stole.  Instead of arresting Tom, Nivens and Hall decide to take the money for themselves and claim Tom was just another faker, but when their plan for getting rid of Tom doesn’t work, Nivens kills Baker and blames it on Tom before going after Annie.  When Tom learns that Nivens and Hall went after Annie, he abandons his peaceful approach to surrendering and begins going after the agents that are trying to kill the woman he loves.  As Tom looks for proof of Nivens and Hall’s guilt, the agents must make more and more risks to hide their actions, but Tom is ready to do whatever is necessary to keep Annie safe.

This action-packed thriller will keep viewers captives from start to finish.  Neeson plays the somewhat familiar role of mild mannered man turned revengeful force, but he does so in a way that is engaging and believable.  The action and stunts are big and bold, which will more than satisfy any action seeker.  Honest Thief is the perfect pick for anyone looking for a movie with lots of action and thrills.
