From The Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.
Fifteen-year-old Samantha (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) is a princess of the small European country of Illyria, but since her older sister, Eleanor (Ashley Liao) will inherit the throne, it’s left the rebellious Sam to feel out of place in life. After their father’s sudden death several years ago, the girls’ mother (Elodie Yung) has been ruling the country until Eleanor turns eighteen in a few weeks. When Sam sneaks out to see a band with her best friend, Mike (Noah Lomax), she starts to experience unnatural, heightened senses and freaks out. As a punishment for sneaking out, Sam is sent to summer school at her elite school for royal children. When she arrives, Sam meets the four other royals also enrolled in summer school, and Sam is less than thrilled to meet the social media obsessed Roxana (Olivia Deeble), the overachiever January (Isabella Blake-Thomas), the shy Matteo (Faly Rakotohavana), and self-centered Tuma (Niles Fitch). The professor in charge, James (Skylar Astin), informs the five princes and princesses that their royal heritage and not-firstborn status gives them powers; Sam and the others are also informed that summer school is a cover for training so they can try to gain membership in the Secret Society of Second-Born Royals. As each of the second-borns try to discover and control their super abilities, the escape of the mysterious inmate (Greg Bryk) from a secret Ellyrian prison launches them from training into actual world-saving. Sam and the others entered training as complete opposites, but the danger thrust upon them will help them grow together in ways they never expected.
