From Men in Black International.
Twenty years after experiencing an alien encounter and witnessing her parents memories be wiped by men in black suits, Molly (Tessa Thompson) has been on the hunt to find out the truth about aliens and the men in black. Finally able to track them down, Molly convinces the director of the MIB New York office, Agent O (Emma Thompson), to give her a chance, so she is dubbed probationary Agent M. For her first mission, M is sent to London and upon her arrival she is greeted by the London director, High T (Liam Neeson), and Agent H (Chris Hemsworth) who three years prior defeated the alien invaders known as The Hive. While H is an extremely skilled agent, he is also a self-centered party boy that takes too many risks. However, when H is charged with supervising alien prince, Vungus (Kayvan Novak) on a layover in London, M gets herself assigned to help H so she can get some field experience. This supposedly-simple mission turns deadly when their charge is killed by two matter-morphing aliens (Laurent Bourgeois and Larry Bourgeois) from a Hive-controlled solar system. As a dying confession, Vungus gives M an object and claims that it’s the only way to defeat the Hive and the mole in the London MIB. When another agent (Rafe Spall) learns that M didn’t tell the truth about Vungus, both H and M become the focus of MIB. The pair must travel all across the world to find the truth of what the object is, deal with H’s ex-girlfriend (Rebecca Ferguson), and find out who the mole is. Left with no one to trust except H and a tiny alien, Pawny (Kumail Nanjiani), M will have to find a way to save the galaxy and stop The Hive.
This fourth installment in the MIB series is full of new, but similar characters and situations. The comedy is constant, and the special effects are captivating. Tessa Thompson carries her role very well and her familiar chemistry with Hemsworth is undeniable. While Men in Black International is not the best in the series, it is a very enjoyable adventure for fans old and new.
