From John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum.
After getting back into the business to avenge the death of his dog and the theft of his car, assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is heavily paying the price. After breaking the rules and killing an enemy on neutral Continental ground, John is excommunicated and a worldwide hit is placed on him. As John races through New York City desperately trying to get his dog to safety with the Continental Concierge (Lance Reddick), grab a few important items, and prepare for the fight of his life before his time runs out. John’s only hope of escaping the city comes through returning to his roots with the Russians, who help him escape to the Middle East to collect a debt that an old friend owes him. John finds his old friend, Sofia (Halle Berry), who is reluctant to help him, but has no choice because of the type of debt she owes him. So Sofia agrees to help John set up a meeting that could help him earn his way back into the company. While John is fighting his way across the city and the world, an assassin investigator (Asia Kate Dillon) arrives in New York and begins questioning the loyalty of all those who have helped John in the past, including the Continental Hotel manager (Ian McShane), the leader of the Russians (Anjelica Huston), and the leader of the homeless assassins (Laurence Fishbourne). Allegiances are very quickly tested as John struggles to find away to call off the hit that’s been placed out on him and get his old life back.
The third installment in the John Wick series takes all of the action and drama of the previous two and multiplies exponentially. This movie is not dialogue-heavy with the majority of the film wordless, and instead focusing on the bloody, heart-pounding, and mesmerizing fights that fans have come to love. Reeves leads a talented cast in a fight across the globe that while not for the faint of heart is perfect for action fans. John Wick Chapter 3 is a captivating movie that is impossible to turn away from.
