From Incredibles 2.
The Parr family is just like your average family: there’s dad, Robert (Craig T. Nelson), mom, Ellen (Holly Hunter), kids Violet (Sarah Powell), Dash (Huck Milner), and baby Jack Jack; the only thing that really sets them apart is that they all have illegal super powers which has kept them hiding in plain sight for years. After jumping into action to try and stop a bad guy called the Underminer (John Ratzenberger), the family is arrested because superheroes are illegal and the majority of the blame is put on the parents, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. However soon after they are released, Mr. and Mrs. Parr along with family friend Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) are contacted by Winston (Bob Odenkirk) and Evelyn Deavor (Catherine Keener), the sibling co-CEOs of Devtech, with an opportunity for the superheroes to step back into the spotlight. Devtech will provide them with state-of-the-art cameras so the public can see the choices they make to help them. The Devors also decide that Elastigirl will be the best bet to win the world back to the appreciation of superheroes, so Mr. incredible stays home taking care the kids, bouncing boyfriend trouble, homework, and babies learning super powers. Elastigirl goes on several missions and has lots of success, and she is even able to inspire a new generation of supers (such as Sophia Bush). But when a mind-controlling hacker threatens the safety of the anyone near a screen, she just might need help from her incredible family, some old friends (Jonathan Banks’ Rick Dicker and Brad Bird’s Edna Mode), and some new supers to make it out alive.
This long-awaited sequel to the 2004 movie hits all the points that make a great Disney/Pixar story; the action is intense, but fun and the comedy is sure to make everyone laugh. The plot keeps the villain hidden until the end when all the clues come together. The story walks the line between scary and thrilling, creating a movie that won’t scare younger viewers and won’t bore older viewers either. Incredibles 2 uses a strong cast and endearing story line to create a super movie from start to finish
