From Avengers: Infinity War.
The Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) has created a gauntlet that is powerful enough to contain the power of the six Infinity Stones that are scattered throughout the galaxy. He plans to use the various powers of the stones to wipe out half the universe’s population in a warped sense of species/environmental preservation. When Thanos and his four evil children begin to collect the stones, various members of the Avengers are alerted and jump into action. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and several of the Guardians of the Galaxy (Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Pom Kiementieff) take off into space to keep the stone Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) holds in his pendant from falling into Thanos’ hands. Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Groot (Vin Diesel), and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) set out to find a weapon that will be powerful enough to stop Thanos. Meanwhile, Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and War Machine (Don Cheadle) travel to Wakanda in hopes that the highly advanced home of the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will be able to separate Vision (Paul Bettany) from his Infinity Stone, so that it can be destroyed before Thanos takes it. Even with all of their best efforts, Thanos still continues to gain power and Infinity Stones which leads all the Avengers to take on the powerful Titan in a vicious fight-to-the-death battle for the fate of the universe.
New suits, technology, and character development make this one of the most rewarding Avengers movies for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Featuring one of the largest and most diverse casts to ever act together on the screen for a superhero movie, it is also a gripping story that flies out of the gate and keeps that same pace until the very end. The cast is amazing, both individually and as a whole; seeing so many characters come together is everything a fan could ever want. Highly advertised as the culmination of the previous decade’s movies, Avengers: Infinity War is intense and heart-breaking while also being inspiring and comedic; it reminds fans of the MCU what we love about these characters and movies. While the ending leaves the audience greatly waiting for what is to come, it is not a movie to be missed!
